Ready Event Go!

Hosting the 2006 Commonwealth Games will generate many opportunities for Victoria's cultural and recreation sectors. Increased tourism and a $12 million cultural program will mean strong demand for arts venue and event staff.

Ready Event Go! has been developed by the Victorian Government to help businesses in both sectors take advantage of the employment opportunities created by the Commonwealth Games.

The Office of Commonwealth Games Coordination has asked Verve - knowledge & skills in partnership with the Recreation Industry Training Company to manage the Ready Event Go! traineeship promotion.

Ready Event Go! will help create a competent and motivated workforce to build on Victoria's reputation for major events for the Commonwealth Games and beyond.
