Thanks to all of those who nominated for the SpArta Awards 2006. The standard of nominations surpassed all expectations and even short listing the finalists was an extremely difficult task for the selection committees.

Service Industry Skills Council Trainee/ Apprentice of the Year Award- Sport & Recreation 2006

Verve Training Initiative of the Year 2006
Finalists are:
- Victoria University - The Hybrid Initiative. A cross-disciplinary initiative focussing on the use of new technologies
- Box-Hill Institute - Xtreme Design Project. An applied Design Certificate II in addition to trade skills
- The Centre/Rural City of Benalla Art Gallery Certificate II in Museum Practice
