Verve Happenings
National Review of the Sports and Recreation Training Package:
Service Skills Australia have just completed Phase Two of the Review of the Sport, Outdoor Recreation, Community Recreation and Fitness Training Package. Verve hosted two workshops, one for Industry and one for RTO’s to ensure that Victoria is represented in the changes to the National Training Package and to make sure that it meets our local Industry needs.
If you could not attend the workshops but would still like to get involved you may call us on 9614 5566 to discuss or to put forward a response to the Draft Qualifications and Units of Competency presented at the workshop by registering on the Service Skills Training Package feedback register website through www.serviceskills.com.au.
Change Driver’s Report:
Is your industry undergoing a major shake up at the moment or are you finding it hard to find and secure staff? Talk with Verve. We are currently working to update information on last year’s Change Driver’s Report, our annual report to government outlining Victoria’s vocational skills requirements for the culture and recreation sector’s. We would love to hear from you if you feel there are issues to discuss. Either call us at Verve on 9614 5566 or submit your information by email: genevieve@verve.org.au.
SkillsBook - Powered by the Competency Navigator
Competency Navigator™ has undergone a major upgrade, with key improvements including an online skills passport called SkillsBook™, additional search functions and a host of new tools to support trainers and students.
SkillsBook™ is an online individual directory of categories of skills and experiences. Under a license arrangement, SkillsBook™ provides a customised web interface that enables end to end business processes. It is proving to be a major winner with skill stores, recognition of prior learning services, employment services, workforce development services and migrant skill identification across the country.
